FAQs

  • Are classes suitable for beginners?

Yes, all my classes are planned so that the flows and postures are chosen with beginners to the more experienced yogi's in mind. I offer modifications and options for almost all postures and if ever in doubt, retreat into Child's Pose and take a short break.

  • What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move and stretch freely, without restriction. It's best to wear layers, as your body temperature will vary during the class and you will want to be warm when relaxing, so a jumper and socks is advisable.

  • Should I eat before class?

It is advisable to allow at least 2 hours for your food to digest before practicing yoga. Ideally if you are coming to an evening class, I would suggest eating your main meal at lunchtime allowing your body to completely digest and absorb the nutrients in your food, which is vital for energy and optimal health. However, if this is not possible I would suggest snacking on something healthy and nutritious before class e.g a banana or handful of nuts and eating a lighter evening meal after class.

  • Should I bring any equipment?

I provide mats, blocks, straps and blankets, however you may decide that you want to purchase your own mat once you've attended a few classes. If this is case, I can order mats at discounted prices from my online supplier www.yogamatters.com.
